It's been a rocky road for Liz Yelling in her quest to reach her third Olympics, Tom found out how she's pulled through some tough times and how she plans to zip up her training man-suit in preparation for this April's London Marathon. There was sad news with the passing of Frank Horwill and Zithulele Sinqe, Tony cheered us up with a video version of his Trials, and Jantastic kicked off in serious style.

We've not got all the weekly news or regular features but instead have a wonderful interview with true old school running legend Bruce Tulloh.  1962 European 5000m champion famous for racing barefoot, set new British and European records for three miles and six miles and competed in 2 European, 2 Commonwealth and one Olympic Games. In 1969 he broke the record for running from Los Angeles to New York. Coached Mike Boit and Richard Nerurkar. Coaching Editor of Runners World for 15years and the author of many books including 'Running is Easy' and 'Running over 40'. Aged 60 he ran a 36min 10k, 57min 10miler, and a 76min half marathon! 

Chris Finill has run every single London Marathon there's ever been... in under three hours! He's also broken three hours across five decades, crossed the line first in the 2012 Olympic marathon test evet, and run across America in 79 days. We also bring you news from the World of running, all the usual features, and a festive Tony's Trials.

On this weeks show we have the second half of the amazing interview with British running icon and marathon legend Steve Jones. Part one of the interview we've all been waiting for... Welsh running legend Steve Jones still holds the British marathon record thanks to his amazing 2:07:13 from Chicago 1985... having also crossed the finish line first in New York and London and, previous to his 2:07 in Chicago, a 2:08:05 on the same course was a World record back in 1984. Enough said for this week we think!

Running 2:36 on her marathon debut in New York last year and following up with 2:29 for 6th place in Chicago this year Claire Hallissey is a serious contender for a place in Team GB for the London Olympics. Diane Aykroyd will also be running the London Marathon next April, she quized Tom with her marathon questions. Tony piled on the pounds, Martin and Tom shared the smackdown spoils, and we celebrated V50 women everywhere.
